The Affordable Care Act:
Summary of Preventive Care Coverage at 100%
The Affordable Care Act requires non-grandfathered plans to provide coverage for “preventive care.” This coverage must be provided without cost sharing (e.g., coinsurance, deductible or copayment). Interim final regulations that were issued on July 14, 2010, further define certain categories of items/services that must covered as preventive care.
